2013! The Big Beach Ball returns for a second year!
This Bank Holiday May Weekend, on a picturesque coast once crowned the UK’s sunniest city, Aberdeen opens the festival season at one of the country’s most iconic locations. Held in and around the historic Aberdeen Beach Ballroom and building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, The Big Beach Ball 2013 is going to be even bigger and even better.
Snuggled beside the Promenade’s sandy beaches, our boutique one day festival enters it’s second year with a bang and we are taking things up a gear – presenting a forward thinking audio and visual feast for electronic music lovers, a serious destination for live music fans and a fantastic Bank Holiday day out with food stalls, indoor market, Tiki Bars, bespoke cocktails, stand up comedy, face painting and more.
Inside the Beach Ballroom revelers can party in the stunning setting or enjoy dancing and drinking in our electric outdoor atmosphere that this year’s line-up of international, artists, DJs and bands will provide.

JOBS AT THE BEACH BALL
We still have some half day paid and volunteer positions available to work at this years festival. Please email communicate@thebigbeachball.co.uk if you are interested.
MALIBU TIKI BAR
The Malibu Tiki Bar can be found in the garden outside the Ballroom complete with parasols, deck chairs and tables. Serving from this section we have Pina Colada, Mali-Woo, with coconut cup serves and large sharing bowls.
PEACE & JAM
The Peace & Jam Lounge was one of last 2012′s festival highlights and this year upped the game even further. Alongside some amazing live bands there will be market stalls featuring small treasures, crafts, clothing and jewellery, while we have happy to have Breakneck Comedy Club hosting several excellent comedians on stage as well.
With a 1920’s tearoom theme, teapot cocktails will be on sale from the bar via floor service to tables with Victorian props and decor.
You can find the Chivas room located on the top floor inside the Beach Ballroom.
